Fly to Porto in the north and begin by exploring the wine-making country around the city. Stay at 3 nights at The Vine House, a favourite quirky retreat with a timeless quality. If you’re lucky, you’ll stumble on one of the many local festivals that add such colour and flare to this undiscovered region.
